WOMEN'S WAY's Women& Influence Conference
Taking Charge: Women and Work


Saturday, December 3, 2011 - 9:00 am to 3:45 pm - Moore College of Art & Design, 20th Street & the Parkway, Philadelphia

This year’s conference will examine women and work, with sessions for all women: for the woman working two jobs and trying to make ends meet, to the woman looking to rejoin the workforce after an extended leave, to the executive seeking to network or start her own business. A range of experts will engage participants in dialogue about various legal, policy, and social issues. We will explore how far women have come and where we still need to go. Participants will also receive valuable tools to address challenges women face in today’s workforce.

This year's keynote speaker will be Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz. We will also be joined by many other prominent community and business leaders.

WOMEN’S WAY’s Women & Influence Conference is a FREE public forum for women to come together to voice their opinions on issues of importance to women, girls, and their families in our region. Conference participants will be able to listen, learn, network, and converse in an open and supportive atmosphere.

 

This year’s conference will examine women and work, with sessions for all women: for the woman working two jobs and trying to make ends meet, to the woman looking to rejoin the workforce after an extended leave, to the executive seeking to network or start her own business. A range of experts will engage participants in dialogue about various legal, policy, and social issues. We will explore how far women have come and where we still need to go. Participants will also receive valuable tools to address challenges women face in today’s workforce.
